Fine Art Series
Wild & Scenic launched the first annual Wild & Scenic Fine Art Series this year. Hoping to raise the awareness of the festival (plus monies to support the non-profit), the organization was looking for a way to engage talented local artists and designers while giving festival-attendees something special to take home and remember the festival by.
“We were looking for something emblematic of the festival, that promoted our mission and created interest around the event,” explains Barbara Getz, SYRCL Board Member.
Six local artists submitted pieces for consideration for the inaugural Wild & Scenic Film Festival fine art poster. These artists’ works reflected their vision of the Yuba River. Paul Thompson’s painting of the South Yuba River was selected by the Fine Art Committee.
