THE PROCESS
Over 350 films were submitted, requested and previewed to select the 130 for our 2010 Official Selection. The Program Committee begins screening films in the summer and then recommends their favorites for the final selection. The Festival Director creates the final program. This committee also helps to create the “Jury Short List”. Almost all of these films (and more favorites) are repeated. The Awards Jury decides on the following awards: Best of Festival, Spirit of Activism, Most Inspirational Adventure Film, and a variety of Jury Awards & Honorable Mentions. Thank you to the 2010 Program Committee, who logged hundreds of hours of film watching: Delphi Whittle, The Lewis Family, Terra Nyssa, Janice Rosner, Tony Loro, Patricia Montijo, Susie Sutphin, and Sarah Poytner.
SPECIAL AWARDS
