What type of films are you looking for?
We watch hundreds of films each year to find the best and MOST INSPIRING environmental and adventure films. Educational nature documentaries and adrenaline films are always welcome, but does your film stand apart from the rest? Does your film inspire and motivate, as well as entertain and educate?
What film length do you recommend?
At the WSEFF we screen all lengths, from 2 minutes to 2 hours. BUT, some of the most compelling stories can be told in 40 minutes or less. More footage does not necessarily make a better film. We have been known to ask filmmakers to submit a shorter version of their film for screening purposes.
I am an amateur filmmaker. Do you recommend I submit my film?
We preview films from all levels of filmmaking: accomplished filmmakers to students to novices new in the field.
I have more than one film. Can I submit all of them for consideration?
Yes, but the fee is still the same.
I am a foreign filmmaker. Can I submit my film?
Yes! Please do! Each year we show films from all over the world. If the film is in a language other than English, subtitles are required. Please note that we have no ability to preview or screen in any other format than NTSC or PAL DVD.
