We have filled 524 volunteer positions! If you would like to be on the waiting list, fill out the volunteer application below. Thank you immensely for your interest in volunteering for the 2012 10th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Volunteers are essential to the success of the event with over 500 people needed to fill many exciting jobs. Please read through the registration information before registering on the form below.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • All volunteers need to register through this on-line website form (see below). If you are a family looking to work together, please put that information in the comment section. Each adult member will need to register individually and can register your children in the comment section. Please include the children’s names and their ages. We do not have any volunteer positions for children under the age of 12 and anyone ages 12-16 needs to be volunteering with an adult/parent/guardian.
  • You will have the opportunity to request a first and second choice for times to volunteer, and you can also request your first and second choice for the type of job you would like. To view all the volunteer positions available along with their job descriptions, please click here. You do not have to select a second choice of either if you have no second choice. You can also select any time or any job and we will pick for you whatever job is still available.
  • You will receive a FREE Saturday day or Sunday day pass only. We are reserving the Friday and Saturday evening sessions for paid attendees only since these sessions are very crowded and venues easily fill. This one session pass allows you to go to any of the venues to watch films during that session only. You will receive your pass at the time that you check in to volunteer and can choose which day at that time. For volunteers who work a minimum of two sessions the weekend of the festival or who work 16 or more hours on the Festival prior to the festival, you may receive one Saturday day and one Sunday day pass or a 50% discount on a weekend pass for all volunteers who either help with the festival or year-round consistent volunteers.
  • If you want to volunteer for more than one shift, you will need to re-submit your application.
  • If a certain type of job is not listed on the registration form, it is because that job has already been filled.
  • After you have submitted your application, we will email you a confirmation with the volunteer job and time that was selected for you within 2 weeks of your submission. We will do our best to give you your first choices, however, there are hundreds of volunteers requesting positions and we cannot accommodate every request.
  • If you are interested in being on the Tech Crew, there will be a mandatory tech crew meeting on Tuesday, December 6, from 6-7:30 pm at the Nevada County Library community room (Eric W. Rood Administrative Center, 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City) to learn about the equipment and sign up for all the weekend shifts.
