Each year, the number of premieres at Wild & Scenic increases. More and more environmental filmmakers regard Wild & Scenic as THE festival to hold their World Premiere.

In fact, filmmaker, Seth Warren (his Oil + Water Project won People’s Choice at Wild & Scenic 2008) is returning this time with a WORLD PREMIERE of his adventure eco flick, Nature Propelled. Not only will Seth be trailing his entourage, he’s also bringing internationally known theater, movie, and television superstar, Patrick Stewart, who narrates Seth’s film. The unlikely pair met met at the 2007 Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival when the renowned actor presented Seth with the “Best Picture” award for his first documentary film, Oil + Water. While presenting the award, Stewart described the film as “one of the most extraordinary accounts of man’s enthusiasm, passion, courage, and more than anything else, the desire to have a good time.” A fan of Oil + Water, Patrick graciously offered to help Seth with his next project by offering his iconic voice to the narration of Nature Propelled.

Says Seth: “Wild & Scenic was the natural place to premiere my new film, Nature Propelled. As a People’s Choice Award-winner for Oil + Water at the 2008 festival, I know W&S has the ideal audience for my style of film, especially with its focus on conservation. Nevada City is one of my mountain towns with the perfect atmosphere for an environmental film festival.”
