Trout on the Wind: The Hemlock Dam Removal Story

Ralph Bloemers, Sam Drevo
(USA, 2010, 23 min)

The successful removal of an aging harmful dam and the restoration of Trout Creek in the lower Columbia River Gorge brought a community together. In the 1970s, the dam fell into disrepair and it was impairing water quality, habitat, and passage for Lower Columbia River steelhead. This project provided an excellent hands-on learning experience on restoring a wild river system.
