We Have a Theme…and other updates
Salmon Parade at the 2012 Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Despite the 90 degree temperatures, it feels to us like January and the 2013 Wild & Scenic Film Festival are just around the corner. We are busy watching films, creating workshops, inviting special guests, and much more. And we are excited to announce the theme for the 2013 festival is…. “A Climate of Change”.
While not all content will directly connect to the theme, you can expect to see a number of films, special guests, events, workshops, art and more that will provide insight and commentary on issues of climate change. At Wild & Scenic we focus on the people, organizations, and communities that are providing solutions and forward-thinking to our most pressing problems. Consistent with that focus, we will highlight the people and actions that are creating “a climate of change”, in which we can collectively make the dramatic global advancements that need to happen in response to climate change.
We have already received many exciting films that address this theme, and are in conversation with organizations and individuals that are on the cutting edge of the thinking about climate change. Expect to leave the 2013 Wild & Scenic Film Festival more educated and inspired, and check back in for updates as the festival develops over the coming months.
