Each year, Wild & Scenic partners with Nevada County Arts to invite artists to submit their environment-themed artwork for inclusion at January’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Selected artists have their work displayed at wineries and galleries in Nevada City and Grass Valley during the film fest and this year, attendees had the chance to meet many of the artists at the various curated venues.
After much deliberation, the Art Awards were announced at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday of festival weekend. Artwork was submitted in the following categories – 2-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional, Photography. Judges awarded prizes to the top submissions in each category. A special thank you to our 2017 Art Jury, Nashormeh Lindo, Cheryl Haines, and Luanne McKinnon, PhD and Congratulations to all the Wild & Scenic artists and winners!
