Our annual event each January in Grass Valley and Nevada City, CA, kicks-off the worldwide Wild & Scenic Tour to over 160 cities. Each tour event is an opportunity for an organization to bring people together around community-based activism. We offer a diverse menu of films that delve into themes such as energy, climate change, conservation, wildlife, community activism, environmental justice, and adventure. Each hosting organization custom builds their film program to cater to their audience, region and event.
If you were at this January’s festival and missed an opportunity to see a film, don’t despair! It may be coming to an On Tour location near you soon. SYRCL will be returning to the bay area on April 1st for a night of Wild & Scenic Films, so be sure to mark your calendars and stay on the lookout for venue, film lineup and special guest announcements. Don’t live close by? Check our Upcoming Events Calendar to see scheduled events and the films that will be screened at each. We’ll be adding more dates all year long and you can also peruse the selection of 2017 Tour Films that will be a part of the Wild & Scenic On Tour program in 2017.
