Calling All Artists! Submission Deadline Extended to November 15th.
Wild & Scenic Film Festival, in collaboration with Nevada County Arts, is pleased to announce that artists can now submit their environmental artwork until November 15th. By submitting your favorite environmentally themed art, it will be considered for inclusion at the 2018 Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Select pieces will be showcased in Nevada City and Grass Valley, CA from January 11-15, 2018, during the Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
“Our festival’s tagline is ‘where activism gets inspired.’ Our films are inspirational and we’re seeking inspirational art submissions as well,” said Melinda Booth, Film Festival Director. “The featured artwork does a lot to enhance the immersive nature of the festival experience.”
“This year we are seeking environmental submissions that are expressly meaningful to the artist,” said Eliza Tudor, Executive Director of Nevada County Arts. “At the same time, we are offering an option to dive deep and consider this year’s theme – “groundswell” – as something to interpret in a way that has personal relevance. There are a growing number of accomplished artists who feel passionately about the environment, and we hope they will enjoy this opportunity to showcase their very best.”
Selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work in front of environmental filmmakers, celebrities, social activists and more than 7,500 festival attendees. The final deadline to apply is November 15th.
