The scenic Bear River winds its way through the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Its last wild six-mile stretch is under threat from a local dam project. Some in the local community are opposing this plan. The story of their struggle to protect this river is the story of rivers all over the world, and the communities who rally to protect them. The film was created using moving oil paintings of the river. Starring an otter, a bear, and an assortment of birds.
