Going Green is Groovy

Getting Here and Around –
Coming from the Bay Area, Sacramento, Reno or beyond? Check out RickyRides, the one-of-a-kind carpooling tool for events that puts you in control of your ride-sharing experience. RickyRides offers users a comprehensive, interactive platform to sign up to share or receive a ride. Both are needed to make carpooling work! Carpools are great ways to save gas, reduce emissions, and make new friends on your way to Wild & Scenic Film Fest.

If you’re local, consider parking your car and walking, riding your bike, or taking a shuttle. You’ll have more fun getting a little exercise on the way to a film session or event, and won’t risk being late because you’re driving around town looking for parking!

Yuba Bus is available for free rides between Grass Valley and Nevada City. The shuttle will run continuously from Friday through Sunday, and is the easiest way to travel between the two towns. Bus stops are located at Robinson Plaza in Nevada City and at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, at approximately 15-minute intervals. And Gold Country Stage will be offering free fare days Thursday January 11 through Saturday January 13 on their route to support Wild & Scenic, too!

Yuba Bus Schedule:
Friday                             6-11pm
Saturday                         8:30am-11pm
Sunday                           9am-4:30pm

Drive an electric car? There’s a charging station behind Miners Foundry.

Eating and Drinking
Purchase an insulated Klean Kanteen cup and receive a discount on your coffee, beer, wine, and bubbly! Bring your own coffee mug for a discount on coffee at concessions.

Bringing your own utensils, plate and napkin is highly encouraged. If you forget yours at home, you can purchase a cool Wild & Scenic bamboo utensil set at Fest Headquarters.

Bring a water bottle! Punctuating our commitment to reducing single use plastics, no bottled water is sold at Wild & Scenic and no straws are used. You can refill your water bottles at drinking fountains at most venues, and at refill stations at Miners Foundry and Fest Headquarters.

We strive to be a Zero Waste event. Help us out by recycling or composting everything you can, like programs, food waste, dishes and utensils. Drop your lanyards and passholders in the boxes provided for those, and we will reuse them next year. Think before you throw; utilize our reuse, recycle and compost bins! There will be signs & helpful volunteers to assist you. Thanks for helping us be as green as we can!
