The Wild & Scenic Film Fest is a call to action. For the past 15 years, filmmakers and artists have shared their work through us, allowing for curated experiences that use film and other visual art to inform and inspire. We strive to use art to ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation.

As you may have heard, last week the Trump Administration announced its proposed budget for FY2018. It has taken the unprecedented action of calling for the entire elimination of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), as well as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

These cuts will have a profound impact nationwide, and upon the arts in California – which receives over $9 million in NEA funding alone.

Californians for the Arts has joined up with the Arts Action Fund of Americans for the Arts to #SaveTheNEA. NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO TAKE ACTION, and our friends at the Arts Action Fund have made this very easy to do at their online Arts Mobilization Center.
