August 1st Event – Impacts and Alternatives: The Dam Story

Save the Date – Local Film Screening and Panel Exploring Dams and Alternatives

Join Wild & Scenic Film Festival on August 1st right here in Nevada City, CA for an evening of inspiring film and riveting discussion. We are thrilled to present Impacts and Alternatives: The Dam Story to our community, an event aimed to raise awareness about the proposed Centennial Dam on the Bear River. Wild & Scenic will be screening two brand new films exploring the impacts of dams, what a post-removal restoration looks like, how communities are connected to their rivers and what they will do to protect beloved waterways. A panel discussion will follow, where you can learn about the alternatives to dams for another view. Stay tuned for updates on our featured panelists! Proceeds benefit SYRCL and support our ongoing fight against the proposed Centennial Dam on the Bear River.
