Thank you to all of the Bay Area Wild & Scenic fans and followers for making Saturday’s San Francisco event so special. With over 300 guests in attendance, the Cowell Theater was buzzing with excited folks ready to learn more about the work that SYRCL, Earthjustice, Conservacion Patagonica, and all of our National Partners and Sponsors do. It was an amazing opportunity to get informed about current environmental and cultural issues that are happening right here in California, and all around the world. Attendees left inspired to make a difference, proving once again, film has the power to inspire change.
Huge gratitude to Will Parinello, Quinn Costello and Alison Kelman, our special guests who were on hand for Q & A sessions after their films screened. It was a unique opportunity for the audience to be able to connect with these filmmakers and activists, and one that will not soon be forgotten by those in attendance.
The evening was a fundraiser for SYRCL and we’d like to thank you all for your enthusiasm to learn more about and support our organization. Funds from the evening will help with our year-round conservation and education efforts, as well as with our current action supporting transparency and protection of public lands surrounding the Centennial Dam project. Special thanks to Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., CLIF Family Winery, CLIF Bar, Earthjustice, and Enchantment Excursions for additional support for this event. Hope to see you all next year!
