Facilitated by Synergia Learning Ventures youth staff, and Chad Nicholson, from the film, We the People 2.0. Young people are leaders and activists by nature: they see the world exactly how it is, and are moved to change it. Join Synergia Learning Ventures’ youth staff, and community organizer Chad Nicholson in an interactive workshop for those who care and those who are curious. We will look at the powerful force of film and storytelling, then at what youth can do to assert your rights to make the decisions that affect you, your community, and nature. If you are already fired up, or if you aren’t sure what to do, but want to do something, please join us. Geared toward youth, appropriate for all ages. Youth receives priority seating if venue is full. More info: synergia.org
Sharing the Fest with Schools
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, more than 2,500 local students participate in our Wild & Scenic school program at the Don Baggett and Del Oro Theatres in Grass Valley. Three programs (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12) designed to meet California state standards are offered. A big thank you to Nevada Union High School and Sierra Theaters for their generous partnership. Reservations are required, check with your individual school and have them contact Heather Kallevig, Education Coordinator, 530-265-5961 x218.
